This project reminds me of Greg Mortenson's mission of building school's in Afghanistan. Both projects are building peaceful bridges between our cultures by promoting education instead of war. You can read more about Mortenson's school's on his website: http://www.threecupsoftea.com/

I am so honored that you picked The Afghan Pepper Company as your Kickstarter of the Week, let alone the first one ever! Thank you!
Just a quick point of clarification: The company does not yet operate by purchasing hot peppers from Afghan farmers; we purchase the afghan short pepper - a species of pepper indigenous to Afghanistan - here in the states. Once we have perfected the commercialization of our hot sauce recipe using these peppers, we will move the entire supply and value chains to Afghanistan. Sorry for any confusion and thanks again.

Best,
Matt

Sean, I have been working on a similar model for communities in South Africa, both rural and urban. To date I have struggled with certain components of the model, but your website has slotted some very relevant solutions into place. Thank you

Didnt Corbin mfg something very comparable ten years ago with limited success. Cool looking as it is, it seems way over engineered and pricy to ever cut it as efficient transportation. Besides who wants to swap out flat spotted motorcycle wheels every ten k. I am soo jealous of their design resources like the ten foot tall Cmm digitizer. I'm curious to know what cad cam systems they're running. Thanks for posting

I am looking forward to GM bringing this vehicle to the market in the US. I will buy it if they do! The RAK e is perfectly suited for the short work commutes many of us make.

Great article, great charts, This is exactly the kind of information to bring up to Rio+20 in Brazil!

The debates about the solutions and strategies for the underdevelopment countries and BRICS, are getting warm and the circular economy paradigm is all about social inclusion within environmental restoration.
Economical prosperity is not just possible but is key to bring us in the right pathway.

We need to spread the Cradle to Cradle ideas to the knowledge of broader audience!

I believe the tall bit on the left is the drinking spout, created by the exterior and the folds. It appears it is closed after it's filled, and accesible through the spout. I like this solution quite a bit. Good find.

This was a great competition! My colleagues and I at frog participated in brainstorming sessions in our NY/SF and Austin studios. I worked with a few guys from SF to submit one of the final concepts: http://rightbrainsare.us/ideas/15-minutes-can-change-the-world-quick-activity-cards-that-foster-creative-problem-solving-in-the-classroom/
